We took a ride over to Jiminy Peak in the Berkshires a few weeks ago.  They run the chairlift up to the top of the mountain to see the foliage ($9) for the ride and you can walk around at the top (grab an adult beverage if you like too).  Another great weekend quick trip idea for you.
