A local Haitian couple -- Clarens and Geraldine Loppe, her brother Jude Jerome, Geraldine’s employer Colin Demers of The Century House, along with a committee of friends and colleagues have created a fund raising benefit  -- Capital Region Hope for Haiti a Benefit Relief Gala, which will take place Saturday -- February 6, from 6-10pm at the Century House Hotel Restaurant and Conference Center in Latham. All proceeds raised will benefit two different charities to help Haiti. We are hoping that you will join us in support of this event. To use an analogy, “ What we spend on a cup of coffee here in the United States will feed a Haitian person for the day. Through this event the goal is to help feed at least 50,000 Haitians of all ages.

The Charities identified for the gala are– The American Red Cross and To Love a Child.
