That’s a loaded statement…. but true at times.  TALK 1300’s Angela Austin (often referred to as “her”) has done a terrific job getting in shape and losing weight.  It took her 12 weeks… I will get the same or better results in 8 weeks.  Let’s face it – men are problem solvers and efficient on time - I don’t need 12 weeks.  Bryan and I will start this project 8/5 – I probably only need 3 or 4 weeks tops.

I started doing intervals last week. My weight hit a plateau the week before and so Bryan decided to have me begin doing interval work. I started with 4 minutes of very fast walking – with 1 minute of fast running (at a very small incline) for 40 minutes total. I have now dropped it down to 3 and 1 and my weight has started dropping again. This week I will also start training double sessions. I did my first double session today – and so far so good. Friday night we went out to dinner and lazy America reared her ugly head.  While sitting near the entrance – I watched with disbelief as waitresses walked up to the people trying to get in and said “kitchens closed”.  Its about 8:59pm on a Friday night and the owner was on site at the bar chumming it up with some customers.  I watched with more disbelief as it happened again at 9:05pm.  I’ve waited tables and I know how eager everyone is to put stuff away and go home. ... Keep reading

I can’t believe it is already Week 9 of the 12 Week – Get Some Workout of Her Fitness Challenge!  This experience has had such an impact on my life and lifestyle choices that I know I will never be able to go back to the way things were before. A great show today with Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce.
